The Circle of Life

by Bindu Lanka, on rationality

The water from the sea

becoming clouds, carried away

By the gentle wind, comfort to all

Or a mighty tornado, wrecking all.

A gentle rain from the clouds, pattering down

Or the violent hail, pounding the ground.

Turning the brown earth to green

With the fresh scent of rain on the ground.

The water from the sea, forming clouds

propelled by the wind, nature’s dance

the rain coursing through hills and valleys,

back to the sea, in a timeless trance.

What a beautiful circle of life

A circle that endures through strife

For even through pain beauty is found

And through nature, lessons abound

And what a beautiful life to live,

Living and giving, ready to forgive.

Through every storm, through every pain

To grow and thrive, we rise again.
